Patio and Pool Deck Coatings Built for Michiana Weather

We coat patios, porches, and pool decks with a UV-stable, slip-resistant finish that stays cooler underfoot than bare concrete. We texture it for wet-area safety and build it to survive our freeze-thaw winters.

Coated patio / pool deck, textured non-slip finish.
Overview

A patio or pool deck coating is a UV-stable, slip-resistant resin system we build for outdoor concrete, so it resists fading, freeze-thaw damage, and the heat a dark bare slab holds. We match the texture to the space, whether that is a covered porch or an open pool surround, and most jobs finish in a single day.

Common Projects

Where This System Works Best

The same system covers a lot of ground. These are the situations we get called for most often.

The Pool Surround

Wet feet, sunscreen, and pool chemicals, where slip resistance is the entire point. We broadcast a more aggressive texture around the water.

The Open Back Patio

Full sun, rain, and freeze-thaw with no cover at all. UV stability and flexibility matter more than gloss.

The Covered Porch

Protected from most weather, so the finish can be smoother and more comfortable underfoot. Matching the open patio is the usual request.

The Tired Decorative Slab

An older stamped or colored slab that has faded and worn unevenly. A coating restores a uniform surface without tearing the concrete out.

Why Coat an Outdoor Concrete Slab

01
Slip-Resistant When Wet

We broadcast a texture matched to the space, with extra grip around pools and steps. Covered patios get a finish that stays comfortable underfoot.

02
UV-Stable and Fade-Resistant

The aliphatic topcoat holds its color in full sun. You avoid the chalking and yellowing that take down cheaper sealers.

03
Freeze-Thaw Durable

The system stays flexible and bonded through our freeze-thaw cycles. That is what keeps it from cracking and popping the way rigid coatings and paint do.

04
Cooler and Cleaner

Lighter blends run cooler than bare gray concrete on a hot day. The sealed surface also rinses off pollen, leaves, and pool chemicals with a hose.

How It Works

How We Coat a Patio or Pool Deck

01
Clean and Profile

We pressure-clean the slab, then diamond-grind or shot-blast it to a proper profile. Cracks and spalls get repaired before anything is coated.

02
Base Coat

We apply a UV-stable pigmented base and work it into the profiled surface. This sets the color and the bond for everything on top.

03
Texture Broadcast

We broadcast flake or a fine grip aggregate to dial in the traction. The wet areas that need more grip get it exactly where it counts.

04
Clear Sealer

A UV-stable clear topcoat locks in the color and the texture. Foot traffic usually returns within 24 hours.

Questions We Hear at Every Quote

Will a coating be too slippery around the pool?+

It will not, because we tune the texture to the zone. Pool surrounds and steps get a more aggressive non-slip broadcast, while the lounging areas stay comfortable to walk on.

Can you coat over a cracked or spalling patio?+

In most cases we can, since crack and spall repair is part of prep. If the slab is too far gone, we will tell you honestly at the quote whether a coating or a replacement makes more sense.

Will it survive our winters?+

That is exactly what it is built for. The system stays flexible and bonded through freeze-thaw cycles instead of cracking and peeling like paint or big-box sealers.

Does it fade in the sun?+

It does not, because the clear coat is UV-stable. Colors hold instead of chalking or yellowing the way many outdoor sealers do.

How soon can we use it?+

Most patios and decks handle foot traffic within about 24 hours of the final coat. We will give you the exact timing for your job before we leave.

Patio & Pool Deck Coatings Near You

Our 15-Year Warranty

A Written Warranty in Plain English

Every install comes with a written 15-year adhesion warranty, and you get the terms in hand with your quote so nothing is a surprise later. Here is exactly what it covers and where it stops.

What It Covers

The warranty stands behind the bond between our coating and your prepped concrete for 15 years.

  • Adhesion: the coating stays bonded to concrete we have properly prepped.
  • Peeling: no peeling or delamination caused by our preparation or bond.
What It Does Not Cover

A coating is tough, but it is not indestructible. A few things sit outside the warranty.

  • Chips and scratches: surface marks from dropped tools or heavy impact.
  • Physical damage: abuse, gouges, or problems from a slab we did not prepare.
