Start with the handover
The installer should explain when the floor can be walked on and when furniture, vehicles, mats or equipment can return. Follow the instructions for the actual system and site conditions; a dry-looking surface is not proof of full cure.
Keep the product names, color or blend selection, written scope and care instructions with your project records. They help with future cleaning, repairs and warranty questions.
A practical cleaning routine
Remove loose grit and ordinary debris regularly. Ask which cleaning products, tools and concentrations are suitable for the specified finish. Avoid assuming that every solvent, abrasive pad or pressure-washing method is appropriate.
Deal with spills using the product-specific instructions and appropriate precautions for the material involved. A coating described as chemical-resistant still has limits: the substance, concentration and exposure time matter.
Texture and everyday use
Keep an appropriate cleaning routine for areas exposed to water, dirt or oil. A textured finish can be selected for a particular use, but no surface can be promised to prevent every slip. Ask about compatible mats and protection under heavy or moving items.
What does the warranty actually cover?
There is no confirmed universal warranty term for projects on this website. Ask the actual provider for the contract and warranty before booking. Product coverage and workmanship coverage may have different issuers, limits and remedies.
- Who issues the warranty and how do you contact them?
- Does it cover materials, labor, repair or another remedy?
- What does it say about adhesion, wear, discoloration and cracks?
- What conditions, maintenance duties or use restrictions apply?
- Are moisture, movement, misuse or existing substrate problems excluded?
- Is it transferable, and what records are required for a claim?
If a problem appears
Record when you noticed it and the affected area, keep relevant photos and contact the contracting provider. Avoid an unapproved repair or chemical treatment before checking the instructions and coverage. Recurring defects may need diagnosis rather than another surface layer.
Plan for the actual floor
A home garage, busy shop and wet outdoor deck need different care discussions. Bring the intended use into the quote so the specification and maintenance plan make sense together.
